The Lorax
In Literacy with Mrs McGuinniety we have been reading the story by Dr. Suess called The Lorax. We talked about the characters, setting, author's purpose, the problem and the solution. We looked at the characters in detail. The Lorax and The Once-ler. We used the story to find wow words and sentences that describe what they looked like and their personalities.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful book to use to study the important parts of a of a good story. We see you have been looking at adjectives to describe the Lorax. We are working on just that too at the moment. It makes characters much more interesting. We are going to start writing our own stories next week, and we might have to get the Lorax out of the library for our next class book!
