This morning in maths we were making Minecraft maps. We had to draw a map that looked like we were in survival mode. The maps are helping us to learn about position and direction. Some of us found it hard to draw the characters and objects, some of us found it hard to think of things to add to our map as we didn't know much about Minecraft. We enjoyed drawing and colouring in our maps and found it easy to draw around the outside of our island. Next week we are going to add grids over top of our maps and write some questions about the location of different things on our maps. If you have any feedback or ideas for us please put a comment down below. Thanks from Miss Williamson's home room.

Good work team,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have spread items out so that there will be something in most grids to help you reading coordinates, once you have labelled your grid.
I look forward to visit when you are reading the grids. Tino pai tō māhi!
Hi Mrs Williamson's class
ReplyDeleteI really like your post. It reminds me of a lot of the maps I made. Maybe next time you cold get some people in your classes opinion on what you were doing. By the way who map was that.
