Minecraft Maps

This morning in maths we were making Minecraft maps. We had to draw a map that looked like we were in survival mode. The maps are helping us to learn about position and direction. Some of us found it hard to draw the characters and objects, some of us found it hard to think of things to add to our map as we didn't know much about Minecraft. We enjoyed drawing and colouring in our maps and found it easy to draw around the outside of our island. Next week we are going to add grids over top of our maps and write some questions about the location of different things on our maps. The Lorax

In Literacy with Mrs McGuinniety we have been reading the story by Dr. Suess called The Lorax. We talked about the characters, setting, author's purpose, the problem and the solution. We looked at the characters in detail. The Lorax and The Once-ler. We used the story to find wow words and sentences that describe what they looked like and their personalities.

We described The Once-ler using wow words. We compared The Lorax and The Once-ler. We looked at what was the same and what was different about them.

Hell-electric Guitar Book Review

in Mr Breach's literacy's class we are learning to look more deeply into the character. my opion on the book is good because its kinda like a mysterious book the main character is frank he is a bad guitar player until he gets this magical guitar. we have to do work sheets they were character inference word investigation. I wonder sheet they helped me think more about the story. my favorite part was when frank was trying to open a cupboard to get the guitar. recommend this book for 9-12 yrs i rate this 4-5.

at school i did a Introducing about me on a google drawing. what was easy is making a character what was hard is writing the words what was fun is the character and potting on the colour what was.

Monkeys

Halswell Quarry
